Marketing and Communications Coordinator Expand/Collapse

Role Overview

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is a key role within the communications area of the Credit Union. This role will create and facilitate all areas of digital marketing, creative content, community events, and media distribution.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Create content, maintain social media channels, and external communications through various channels reflecting current product and service offerings
  • Create and oversee the content calendar, community events, and branch activities
  • Coordinate and maintain email marketing, marketing systems, and digital communications
  • Maintain websites and coordinate plans for campaigns and launches
  • Develop strong relationships with Carpathia’s partners, suppliers, vendors, and community groups
  • Responsible for balancing and spending of departmental/organizational marketing budgets
  • Evaluate and analyze social media initiatives and monitor trends
  • Be responsible for the preparation of all external media, newsletters, and email promotions
  • Prepare digital marketing reports
  • Ensure all initiatives are consistent with legislative requirements
  • Understand, support, and promote the Credit Union’s products, services, and standards
  • Maintain an inventory for promotional materials
  • Act as a resource for the Chief Operating Officer, and at times, the Board of Directors

Education and Experience

This position requires the completion of post-secondary education in communications, marketing, or digital marketing, plus three to six years of experience, or a combination of education and experience.

Member Service Representative (Front Line Teller)

6 MONTH TERM POSITION

As an MSR, you play an important role in identifying and meeting member needs by delivering excellent service, giving advice and building relationships.  Flexible to work in any branch in Winnipeg. The Member Service Representative (MSR) is willing to work in multiple locations within the Monday to Saturday workweek. The MSR must be fluent in English both verbal and written.  

A day in the life:

  • Provide a broad range of face-to-face services to members including (but not limited to) processing deposits, withdrawals, bill payments, cheque cashing;
  • Build relationships with existing and new members, seeking opportunities that are the best fit for the individual needs of each member;
  • Identify opportunities to meet member needs beyond their original request, and refer those members to other specialists within the credit union as needed; and
  • Contribute to overall business development through excellent service, product knowledge and quality referrals.

Your experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum grade 12 diploma
  • DNA proficiency considered an asset
  • Strong customer sales and service skills
  • Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with computer applications, programs
